Associated FIE

The FIE through its Associations and Regional Committees, promotes hiking, skiing, regularity walking, and intervenes in schools with hiking and environmental education activities. The Federation also organizes routes and excursions for people with disabilities, in order to guarantee everyone the right to move in nature. The FIE was born around 1880 in Lombardy as the Prealpine Federation and was re-founded in Genoa in 1946. Since 1971 with a decree of the President of the Republic it is a recognized non-profit organization and since 2004 it has also been an environmental protection association with a decree of the Minister of the Environment .

It organizes training courses for volunteer National Excursion Guides, Regional and National Championships of Alpine Skiing and Regularity March.
